From the roaster

6oz black label coffee.

These are the top end coffees you want at south jersey pricing. Complain and we'll send the police.

It's a gesha, and a natural. It's both incredibly funky and booze while also being basically jasmine tea.  It's a lot and you have to like a lot, a lot. Like a lot, a lot.  My knock is that it doesn't do one thing or the other and that's sometimes my beef with gesha "process" coffees but that said it's fucking unreal. You're going to like it, i'm just broke brained and have tried 42,069 coffees so it has to smell like a sock for me to have feelings.

Limited release as always with these bags.  All roasted 4/21 order now or hold your ? I dunno. Whatever.

Context

The Colombia Vergel Gesha Natural, sourced from the producers at Vergel, represents a compelling intersection of high-end varietal selection and experimental processing. As a Gesha varietal, this coffee is often sought after for its inherent elegance and potential for complex, tea-like clarity. When paired with a natural process, which typically allows the fruit to impart deeper sweetness and intensity during drying, the result can be a profile that pushes boundaries.

Roasted by Royal Mile Coffee, this specific lot from Colombia highlights a distinct sensory experience characterized by funky, boozy undertones balanced by delicate jasmine tea aromatics. For those looking to better understand how these specific descriptors align with broader industry standards, consulting a flavor wheel can be an excellent way to map these unique characteristics. This coffee serves as a prime example of how meticulous cultivation and processing choices can transform a classic varietal into a bold, unconventional cup.
