Context

The 015 - Esmeralda Special Natural Gesha represents a pinnacle of production from Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama. As a Gesha varietal, this coffee is celebrated globally for its distinct, tea-like clarity and complex floral aromatics. When processed using the natural method, these beans often develop a heavier body and intensified fruit-forward characteristics that distinguish them from washed counterparts.

Roasted by Colonna Coffee, this lot highlights the meticulous care taken by the producer to preserve the inherent qualities of the cherry during drying. For those exploring the nuances of such a high-profile origin, comparing these sensory attributes against the flavor wheel can provide a deeper understanding of how varietal and processing choices converge. This specific release serves as a compelling example of the intersection between traditional Panamanian cultivation and modern specialty roasting standards, offering a refined experience for those seeking the unique profile associated with this celebrated plant variety.
