Felipe Arcila is a fourth-generation coffee farmer from one of Colombia’s most respected coffee families, having learned the craft from his father, Jairo.  Felipe owns Jardines del Edén and Jardines del Encanto, with the intent of pioneering natural processing and advanced fermentation techniques. Their work has helped position the farm as a benchmark for innovation and quality, contributing to a broader movement that has influenced producers across Colombia to explore rare varieties and push beyond conventional methods.

This particular coffee variety, Maragesha, is a hybrid of Maragogype, known for its unusually large beans, and Gesha, prized for its complex, high-scoring flavor profile. It's a low-yielding variety, which makes it a riskier option for producers over higher-yielding alternatives. Felipe chose to grow it anyway, betting on flavor potential over volume and demonstrating his commitment to experimentation and quality. This lot undergoes washed processing, offering a direct expression of Colombian terroir and the Maragesha variety's inherent flavor.
