Expect notes of Lemon Meringue & Strawberry

Patio Bonito is a family-run farm in Caldono, Cauca, led by founder Carlos Arturo Trujillo with support from his daughter Paola. Paola's expertise in cupping and processing has refined their washed and natural coffees through innovative techniques like thermal shock and anaerobic modulation. Across 9 hectares, they cultivate 13 varieties including Sidra, Geisha, and Pink Bourbon. 

This coffee from Patio Bonito is a Pink Bourbon variety. It is cultivated from hybridization of Red and Yellow Bourbon. Pink Bourbons are very difficult to produce with consistency and this is something that Carolos and Paola have perfected! We are really enjoying this washed pink bourbon on the cupping table this year, it has a nice bright acidity with notes of citrus and red berries followed by a velvety mouthfeel.

This washed Pink Bourbon from Patio Bonito in Colombia's Cauca region showcases the bright, fruit-forward character typical of the area's high-altitude coffees. Grown at 1700 meters, the beans were processed using the washed method, which emphasizes clean acidity and distinct flavor clarity. Dogwood Coffee highlights lemon meringue, strawberry, citrus, and red berry notes—a vibrant profile that speaks to both the varietal's inherent sweetness and the region's terroir.
