Da Matteo is a specialty coffee roaster and café operator based in Gothenburg, Sweden, with multiple locations including cafés at Magasinsgatan, Vallgatan, and Victoriapassagen, as well as two da Matteo Handel retail stores. The company roasts all of its coffees weekly at its roastery on Magasinsgatan, producing both espresso and filter profiles. Its current offering spans origins such as Indonesia, Kenya, El Salvador, and Ethiopia. Beyond coffee, da Matteo operates an artisanal bakery and offers a range of consumer-facing educational events including espresso masterclasses, barista workshops, and coffee tastings. The team participates in barista competitions and sources produce through direct travel to origin regions. In March 2025, da Matteo was awarded first place in the Nordics Best Roaster competition, in which 26 specialty coffee roasters competed. The company also provides wholesale services, catering, and barista rental for external events.
